Hillcrest is a small and affluent neighborhood in San DiegoCa northwest of Balboa Park and south of Mission Valley.  Hillcrest is known for its "tolerance and acceptance,"[1] its gender diversity, and numerous locally owned businesses, including restaurants, cafés, bars, clubs, trendy thrift-stores, and other independent specialty stores.[2] Hillcrest has a high population density compared to many other neighborhoods in San Diego, and it has a large and active lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.

Hillcrest is an older neighborhood which has gone through gentrification. Many streets are lined with trees. There are Craftsman homes and Mid-Century modern apartment buildings.


The neighborhood is bound by Mission Hills to the northwest, Bankers Hill and Balboa Park to the south, University Heights to the north, and North Park to the east. A large ridge overlooking San Diego Bay borders the neighborhood to the west.  Hillcrest is part of the Uptown community planning area, which consists of the neighborhoods of Mission Hills, Hillcrest, Bankers Hill, Park West, and University Heights.

She’s the interior staging editor, marketing manager, social media specialist, and a licensed real estate agent bringing the calm to the chaos in the office with her logical demeanor. Prior to The Savory Group, this San Diego native was employed for 15 years by TB Penick & Sons, Inc. as a project coordinator. She worked her way into a role as their marketing director, and eventually as the proposal producer. She thoroughly enjoys roller coasters, snowboarding and travel, although California is by far her favorite coast. 



Jimmy Kerr is the buyer’s agent and development strategist specifically focusing on urban infill opportunities. The Tau Kappa Epsilon alumni majored in civil and environmental engineering at The University of Southern California, and recieved his Master’s from The University of San Diego.  He holds LEED Accredited Professional BD+C status.  Jimmy has 10 years and running as a design and project manger at TB Penick & Sons, Inc. Described by most as a total people person, his enigmatic personality is absolutely contagious. Among other passions, some of his favorites include a good game of golf, beach sunsets, and traveling through Western Europe.
